Privacy Policy
The short version. TerraKids does not collect personal data. No accounts, no ads, no analytics, no tracking cookies. Your child's progress is saved only in the browser on your own device, and you can delete it any time.
1. Who is responsible

2. What we do not collect
We never ask for a name, email address, age, photo, location or any other personal detail, from a child or from a grown-up. There is no sign-up and no login. There are no advertising networks, analytics tools or social media trackers in TerraKids.
3. What stays on your device
To remember where your child is in the game, TerraKids saves a few small notes in your browser's local storage:
- which flags have been placed on each map,
- the chosen language,
- that a grown-up agreed to the terms, with the terms version and the date.
These notes never leave your device and we cannot see them. To delete them, clear the site data for TerraKids in your browser settings. The grown-up check and terms screen will then appear again.
4. Spoken names
TerraKids reads country names out loud using the speech voice built into your device or browser. On most devices this happens on the device itself. Some devices use their maker's online voice service instead; that is controlled by your device settings, and TerraKids does not send anything of its own.
5. Hosting and delivery
Like every website, the server that delivers TerraKids receives your IP address and basic technical details (such as browser type) so it can send you the pages. Our hosting provider may keep short-lived security logs. We do not use this information to identify or profile anyone.
The website is served by Cloudflare and loads nothing from any other company: its fonts and pictures come from our own server. The app itself contacts nobody: its fonts and everything else are built in.
6. Children
TerraKids is designed for children and is built so that no personal data about a child is ever collected. A grown-up agrees to the terms before a child plays, and there is nothing for a child to fill in.
7. Your rights
Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation you have the right to ask what data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to complain. Because TerraKids holds no personal data, there is usually nothing to hand over, but you are always welcome to ask at hello@terrakids.app. You can also complain to the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon, www.aki.ee).
8. Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we update the version number and date at the top of this page.
